In order to handcraft a theatrical mask it is not enough for the mask maker a technical knowledge of the necessary materials in its handcrafting. It is important to conceive it as an element which has got particular features needed to its stage function, considering its relation with the space where it will be used, context which is inserted in, period of time and all the singularities inside the style of the language.

In this way, firstly, we proceed a study gathering existent information among the temper of the character, the typical features, the sensorial stimulus and all the phenomenological and conceptual aspects, individualizing within a historical and cultural context what is concerned with the needs of the sort of mask we want to create.

According to these principles, Moitará Group dedicates itself to the development of a work methodology, which takes the theatrical Mask as an essential element, an invention that commits itself with life.
