There is a branch in Moitará’s research which is the work with masks that may represent Brazilian Folk types. The actors meet the physicality and vocality suggested by the masks, delimiting their peculiar features, deepening in the historical and cultural context of the represented stock characters.

 

In the creation of the Masks of representative types of the Brazilian Cultural Universe, Moitará Group has been establishing some parallels with stock characters of Commedia dell’Arte.
